How do you keep a shower mirror with suction cups from falling?
To get your shower mirror suction cups to stick better, make sure to thoroughly clean the surface you are applying the suction cup to. Smooth, non-porous surfaces like ceramic, tiles, glass, fiberglass, and other mirrors are most compatible with suction cups.
Clean the spot for the suction with soap and water then degrease it with rubbing alcohol to remove any remaining residue.
Make sure the suction cup is clean, wash it with warm, soapy water then rinse well. Shake off the excess water afterward. Some users suggested that rubbing a tiny dab of cooking oil or petroleum jelly on the rim of the cup can enhance the suction.
Now, to stick it to the wall, press the suction cup down firmly for about fifteen seconds until a vacuum is created.
Press down the suction cups periodically to get rid of any air that might have seeped in.
While classic suction cups need a little moisture to stick better, Mirrorvana shower mirrors have upgraded suction cups that work better without moisture and can be installed in seconds. Simply stick the suction cup to a clean, flat and non-porous surface then lock the suction knob by rotating the knob clockwise.
