Are LED makeup mirrors dangerous for your eyes?

There are two types of LED lights:

  • ”Warm white lights” are used in makeup mirrors and home LED lighting. They were found to have weak phototoxicity risks(A condition in which the skin or eyes become very sensitive to sunlight or other forms of light). These LED lightings give off warm white lights that are soft, diffuse and have a lower intensity which is safe for the eyes.
  • “Cool blue lights” are found in your smartphones and computer screens have high-intensity lights. Exposure to these lights for long periods may cause irreversible damage to your eyes.
