How do you keep a shower mirror with suction cups from falling?

Posted by on

To get your shower mirror suction cups to stick better, thoroughly clean the surface you are applying the suction cup to. Smooth, non-porous surfaces like ceramic tiles, glass, fiberglass, and other mirrors are most compatible.

Clean the spot with soap and water then degrease it with rubbing alcohol. Wash the suction cup with warm soapy water, rinse well, and shake off excess water. Some users suggest that rubbing a tiny dab of cooking oil or petroleum jelly on the rim of the cup can enhance the suction.

Press the suction cup down firmly for about fifteen seconds until a vacuum is created, and press down periodically to get rid of any air that might have seeped in.

Mirrorvana shower mirrors have upgraded suction cups that work better without moisture. Simply stick to a clean flat non-porous surface and lock the suction knob by rotating clockwise.
