You would most likely have trouble getting the mirror to lock properly against uneven surfaces like painted walls, textured bathroom tiles, and wallpaper.
If you believe your intended surface is compatible, you can perform a simple test by testing it against a glass window or another glass mirror surface. If the mirror suctions properly to other flat surfaces but not to your desired spot, your surface may not be compatible.
